Murphy School of Dance is located right in the heart of downtown Murphy, North Carolina, currently serving students and families from eight surrounding counties in Western North Carolina, North Georgia, East Tennessee and other bordering states and counties.

Our next open enrollment for GROUP classes are listed above in preparation for our Fall Session, beginning September 8th to the beginning of June, ending with our annual dance recital, date to be announced. Professional photos, spirit weeks, workshops, field-trip opportunities, parades, amazing costumes, quality end of year performances, and so much more! This is the season you DON'T want to miss! Some of our most popular classes may be waitlisted at our final registration date, but please do not let that discourage your enrollment. We only do this so we can BEST and most properly serve our classes. Please email us or message us on Facebook for class information such as day/time, age, availability, etc!

Investment:
Our fall program for NEW enrollments begins at only $65 per month, broken down into ten convenient and easy installments. MSOD also offers paid in full discount options, multiple class discounts, sibling discounts and fundraiser opportunities to offset costuming and tuition fees. You can even earn FREE costuming and tuition with this fundraiser! Through this annual fundraiser, this also allows MSOD to sponsor and scholarship those in need and foster care children in our community. Great news... once you have become a member of MSOD, your tuition rate will NOT change as long as you are enrolled! We value committed dance families and as our thank you to YOU, your rate becomes locked in once registered!
2025-26 Fall Program Scheduling:
After our two earlier registrations, our fall schedule is now established! We host group classes on Mondays, Tuesdays, or Thursday afternoons from 4:00-8:30 pm. Kindly email us (see contact below) or message us on Facebook (most prompt) for scheduling information as we do not share our student schedules publicly.

ABOUT MURPHY SCHOOL OF DANCE
Est. 1988
Offering both, a Pre-professional conservatory program and a recreational dance program within one studio environment. Classes are available in a variety of dance genres to students ages 3 to 18, private lessons for all ages, Mommy & Me Yoga 18-36 months, and monthly adult classes for ages 18+. MSOD specializes in ballet, pointe, tap, jazz, lyrical, hip hop and tumbling. Classes are also offered in clogging, baton twirling, acro, ballroom, contemporary and modern dance as interest allows. In an environment which celebrates each and every student's talents and abilities, MSOD seeks to provide a create outlet for student self-expression and to promote and atmosphere of community and compassion. We believe our students will rise to the expectation we set for them... so we set them HIGH!

Established in 1988, MSOD offers students the opportunity to commit to either a Recreational or Conservatory dance program within one quality studio environment. With former students now performing in Las Vegas, New York, and Los Angeles, MSOD has proven its ability to train and guide students to success at all levels of commitment. Over our 30 years, we have strived to create an artistic learning environment where everyone truly feels wanted and appreciated! Welcoming students of ALL backgrounds, our instructors aim to teach their students more than just dance, often focusing in lessons of kindness, compassion, giving, accountability and sharing while relating all topics and desired morals back to the arts; our passion!
A sincere "dance family", MSOD provides the highest quality of dance education within a loving and nurturing environment. Students are encouraged to be accountable, responsible, and self reliant; qualities we know will assist them in all of their future endeavors entering adulthood. Party options are offered to ages 3-18 with a maximum of 20 participating guests (meaning MORE people can attend but instruction such as dancing and crafts are limited to 20 participants only). Party decorations are NOT include. Inflatables such as jump houses are not permitted indoor. All decorations MUST be wall-safe.
Bookings available on Fridays and Saturdays only as Sundays are reserved for cleanings. Some Wednesdays available by request.

In the event of inclement weather, all MSOD weather closings or delays will be announced via Facebook by 1 pm the day of concern.
